I started work at The Grove in 2011 and became a Partner in 2014. I have special interests in contraception, care of the elderly and teaching medical students.

I trained in Glasgow University and initially did further training in Paediatrics before deciding to be a General Practitioner. Joined the practice as a full time partner in 1993. Medical interests include paediatrics, musculo-skeletal problems, psychological problems and in problems related to old age. I do baby clinics and minor surgery and helps with teaching medical students and registrars. Involved in clinical governance within the practice and the practice computer system.

I am a Newcastle graduate and have worked in medicine before turning to general practice.I worked in Felling prior to working at The Grove. I am a trainer of GPs and an associate director at the School of Primary Care leading in high quality training across the northern region.
I enjoy minor surgery and sport’s medicine as well as teaching communication skills and psychological analysis. I have four children and I enjoy football, cycling and the occasional sail in the outer Hebrides.

I came to Newcastle to train and never left. I joined the practice in 1992 as a full time partner. My interests are gynaecology and family planning, care of the elderly and psychological problems. I also do minor surgery in the practice. I am married, enjoy my family life and now have time to enjoy running, cycling and walking and even the occasional triathalon.

I qualified as a doctor in Newcastle in 1997 and then had several enjoyable years working in paediatrics. I then changed career path in 2002 for General Practice, and have worked in Bedlington and Bellingham. I have special interests in paediatrics, young people’s health and elderly care. Over the past few years I have become more involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate doctors which is a rewarding part of the job. I am married and have three young children. Outside interests include outdoor sport, running and seeing friends

I joined the practice in February 2009. Prior to which I worked in Ear, Nose & Throat surgery for 14 years. Part of that time was at North Tyneside General Hospital and the Freeman Hospital. I run the ENT GP With Special Interest clinic which caters to the surrounding practices as well as this surgery. I am married and we have twins, who were one of the main reasons for the change in my career. I have a keen interest in technology and football.

I was brought up in Gateshead and graduated from Newcastle University in 2013. I spent my Junior Doctor years working across Tyneside and Northumberland, finishing my GP training at The Grove.
My clinical interests are women's health, elderly medicine and medical education.
I'm married to a fellow Geordie and much of my free time is taken up by my young son. My outside interests include reading, running and following football & cricket.
We are a training practice and sometimes the partners are assisted by a general practice registrar. The registrar is an experienced doctor intending on specialising in general practice. He or she will be working with the team on a temporary basis.
