This time of year is a chance to remember and reflect on the service and sacrifice of members of the Armed Forces, past and present.
It’s also an opportunity to remind people that support for veterans and their families is available throughout the year, not just around Remembrance Day.
The Grove Medical Group is proud to be a Veteran Friendly Accredited GP Practice, helping veterans access the care and support they need.
Our Veteran Friendly Accredited practice team can:
- identify patients who have served in the Armed Forces
- understand the physical and mental health needs that can come from service life
- understand how to access specialist NHS services, such as Op COURAGE for mental health support and OP RESTORE (formerly the Veterans Trauma Network) for physical injuries
- follow the Armed Forces Covenant, which means veterans and their families should not be disadvantaged when accessing healthcare
- take regular training to make sure we continue to offer the best possible care

Our Practice team will add your service to your medical record. This helps us to:
- understand your health needs and provide appropriate care
- refer you to specialist NHS veteran services when needed
- help you find other local and national support
