Tests
Why You Might Have Tests
Your doctor may recommend tests to help better understand your health. Tests can provide important information, rule out potential issues, and ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
Getting your test results
The practice does not contact patients if test results are normal and you will only be contacted if your GP decides that further action is needed based on your results. This could include:
-
A prescription
-
Information sent to you
-
An appointment, if the GP feels follow-up is necessary
If a follow-up appointment is required, your GP will determine whether it should be urgent or routine, based on clinical judgement.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account(through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOnline account.
