Newcastle Maternity Services have introduced a new system allowing patients to self-refer their pregnancy online as soon as they wish. This can be completed via their website https://www.newcastle-hospitals.nhs.uk/services/maternity/self-referral-and-electronic-digital-pregnancy-records/ or by using the QR code available on their posters.

The service is now live and is expected to streamline the referral process for pregnant patients in the Newcastle area. Once the self-referral form is completed, a summary will be sent to the GP surgery selected on the form. Patients should receive a call from Newcastle Maternity Services within 10 working days.
