Our online system is quick, convenient, easy to use, and it gets you the help you need when you need it. Please complete our online form to submit a medical/admin request. Please Note – Due to IT updates in relation to medical requests we are now able to offer an option for ‘New Medical Request’ and ‘Existing Medical Request’
Submitting an online request
You can use our website to send a message directly to one of our GPs. Patients with SystmOnline or Airmed accounts can also submit requests via those platforms.
- Select the correct medical or adminstration button and then choose your option and fill in the quick questionnaire and enter your details, please note if you are filling out on behalf of a patient it will also ask for your details.
- Our Doctors will look at all clinical requests and decide how best to help you
- If an appointment is best, we’ll send you a link to book a time convenient to you
- You might be signposted to a self-help advice, a pharmacy or another NHS service
- Lots of requests can be resolved without you needing to come to the practice
- If you have a clinically urgent problem for today outside of our online triage times please ring reception who will take details and pass to the triage doctor.
This replaces our traditional appointment and eConsult systems, and will make best use of our appointment capacity, and help patients quicker.
How it works
This help video shows you how to submit an online request on our website.
Urgent GP Appointments
All requests are triaged by a GP each day who will review each request based on clinical urgency. If your request is considered urgent you will receive a phone call from the GP or will be offered a face-to-face appointment for that day.
Please Note – Urgent appointments can be given offsite at other surgeries within our Primary Care Network. Please use the link below to submit an online request. If you are unable to use the online request system, contact our reception team on 0191 2132778 who will be able to help if you are not able to do this but we do encourage our patients to use this system when they can as it is the quickest way to contact the GP.
Routine GP Appointments
All requests are triaged by a GP each day who will review each request based on clinical urgency. If your request is considered routine you will receive a text with a routine booking link to enable you to make an appointment. If you have advised us you are unable to access text messages then you will be contacted by the reception team to make this appointment. Routine appointments can vary in timeframe and it is dependent on capacity at the time of your request.
If you are unable to use the online request system, contact our reception team on 0191 2132778 who will be able to help if you are not able to do this but we do encourage our patients to use this system when they can as it is the quickest way to contact the GP.
How to Book an Appointment with Our Nursing Team
Booking a nurse or HCA appointment
You can book an appointment with our nursing team by telephone or, for certain appointment types, using an appointment booking link sent by the practice. Not all nurse appointments can be booked online. Our nurses and healthcare assistants (HCAs) have different skills and clinical competencies, so appointments must be arranged with the appropriate member of the team.
Appointment links and invitations
We send appointment booking links by email if you have provided one for certain appointments, such as cervical screening and long-term condition reviews, when you are due. Invitations are sent in stages, and there may occasionally be delays due to staff availability or other service pressures.
If you think you are due an appointment but have not received an invitation, please contact the practice by telephone.
Blood test appointments
Booking links are available for certain blood test appointments once a GP or other authorised clinician has requested the test and added it to our clinical system. This ensures the request is correctly linked to the hospital laboratory service.
NHS Health Checks
NHS Health Checks are available to eligible patients aged 40–74 who do not already have certain pre-existing conditions. We routinely invite eligible patients, but invitations are sent in stages due to the large number of patients who qualify. If you think you are eligible and would like to book, please contact the practice by telephone.
For more information about eligibility and what an NHS Health Check involves, visit the NHS website.
Need to book a nurse appointment?
If you need an appointment or are unsure whether you are due for a review, please contact the practice by telephone. Our reception team will be happy to help.
Home Visits
If you are housebound, a home visit may be possible. Please submit an online request using the link below or ring the surgery as early in the day as possible, before 10am if possible.
If you are unable to use the online request system, contact our reception team on 0191 2132778 who will be able to help if you are not able to do this but we do encourage our patients to use this system when they can as it is the quickest way to contact the GP.
Home visits are not guaranteed, and decisions will be based on clinical need and capacity.
