About Gosforth Jesmond Health (GJH)
Gosforth Jesmond Health (GJH) is a dynamic company established by the North Gosforth and Jesmond & Lower Gosforth Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to manage and deliver PCN contracts and services.
GJH supports The Grove Medical Group and 5 other GP practices across two PCNs, and serves a combined population of approximately 75,000. Their approach is innovative and collaborative, aiming to provide high-quality primary care in a challenging healthcare landscape.
About the Role
GJH are looking for two GPs eligible for ARRS funding to join their growing multidisciplinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our Same Day Access (SDA) service and provide home visiting care, with a particular focus on supporting elderly and housebound patients.
You’ll work alongside an experienced team including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and a Paramedic Prescriber, with support from our Clinical Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Home visits across PCN practice areas, collaborating with community teams and providing holistic care for housebound patients.
- Same Day Access clinic work, based at 200 Osborne Road, Jesmond, seeing acutely unwell patients triaged by practices.
- Active participation in team-based care, including case discussions and shared learning.
This role builds on a successful ‘Winter Hub’ model and supports year-round adult and paediatric SDA services.

ARRS Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these ARRS-funded roles, applicants must:
- Have obtained their CCT within the past two years (as of recruitment date)
- Not have held a substantive GP post in general practice before
Support & Development
The visiting service is currently supported by two Clinical Directors and a full-time Paramedic Prescriber. The successful candidates will receive mentorship and ongoing support from our senior clinical team.
